SVG Score Extensions

This document describes the SVG format that is written and read by the latest versions of my Assistant Composer and Assistant Performer software.

The format uses many of the elements used in Common Western Music Notation.
Elements that are not used include tuplets, augmentation dots and slurs.

The relevant definitions are now kept in Moritz' GitHub repository.
Moritz

uses a special score namespace inside the SVG.

identifies the types of all the music symbols that it does create by giving them an appropriate class attribute.

writes temporal (MIDI) information into event symbols using a specially defined <score:midi> element.
